The pathways

Different ambitions. Different routes. One player-centred approach.

Three routes, each with a different goal. Players can move between them as their game and their goals change.

Every route starts here

A player consultation.

Before any pathway, the ID11 team gets to know the player and family: level, position, ambitions and situation. Then we recommend where the player could be in one to two years, and in three to five. Some players are not ready yet, and we will say so.

The player journey

A pathway built around the individual.

Four stages, at the player's own pace. It is a process, not an automatic outcome.

  1. IdentifyWe get to know the player and the profile, in order to begin to maximise the pathway.
  2. DevelopTraining in an environment that fits where the player is now, developing the pipeline.
  3. ConnectIntroductions to partner clubs, academies and education institutions when the timing is right.
  4. ProgressNext steps are reflected as the player grows, on the pitch and off it.

How an individual route can evolve

  1. Player assessmentThe online enquiry and the first conversation with the player.
  2. Sporting reviewOur sporting staff look at level, position, age and goals.
  3. Appropriate pathwayA recommendation, with the reasons, and what it would take.
  4. Continued developmentProgress is reviewed. Players can move between routes as things change.

Where it can lead

  • Professional club opportunities
  • Elite European development
  • University and education
  • Continued competitive football
  • Career beyond football

Possible destinations, not promises. The route is chosen around the player, and it can change.

Real player journeys

Three players. Three different routes.

Where they started, the transitions along the way, and where they went next, in their own words.

Your pathway starts with a conversation.

Tell us about your football background, ambitions and next steps. The ID11 team will review your enquiry and explore whether an appropriate pathway is available.

  1. ID11 receives your enquiry.
  2. A member of the sporting team reviews it.
  3. The player and family may be invited to a conversation.
  4. We discuss the next steps that fit.
